How to Erase All Contacts on a Samsung

Each Samsung cell phone model has its own settings and features. Most Samsung phones allow you to erase data from your device. This feature can be useful if you are replacing your cell phone and want to delete data before donating it. Most Samsung devices will allow you to choose to erase all your contacts at once by going into your security settings. The process may differ slightly from model to model.

Instructions
  1. Press the "Home" button and then the "Menu" button. This will bring up all the menu categories for the phone.
  2. Highlight the "Settings" category.
  3. Select "Security." You may need to select "More" first to scroll down to the Security menu. On specific models such as the Samsung Restore, select "Reset/Delete."
  4. Enter your lock code. If you have not set a lock code, enter the last four digits of your phone number.
  5. Select "Erase/Reset," "Erase" or "Delete Stuff," depending on the model of your cell phone.
  6. Select the option to erase contacts.
  7. Select the "Yes" or "Delete" option to confirm the deletion of all your contacts. Press the "OK" button on your phone.
